Toms River teacher accused of having sexual relationship with student !

A 31-year-old teacher was charged today with having an inappropriate sexual relationship with one of her students at a Beachwood school, authorities said.

Erin Haskell, a Barnegat Township resident who works at Toms River Intermediate School South, was charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford.

Investigators did not identify the victim because of the student’s age. Haskell remains at the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of $300,000 bail, and she could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted at trial, authorities said.

The teacher has also been ordered to have no contact with the victim.

A call to the Toms River Regional School District was not immediately returned.
